The Mariner III is for sale. It is 70-year old wooden 42-foot ketch designed by by master boat designer Ed Monk and built by Chambers and Francks in Seattle, Washington. This magnificent boat has been put up for sale by its current owner, Claude Bigler of Vancouver, BC. The ketch is in prime condition, has a 64-horsepower Isuzu diesel engine with only 2,400 hours logged on it. The Mariner III has just been hauled and undergone its annual inspection. Keel bolts were replaced and the boat was certified to be in excellent condition.

The boat is designed to be handled by one person in conditions up to 30-knots, without reefing. Its worm gear makes steering very easy, with no tiring pressure on the wheel. Mariner III has been cruised between Seattle, Alaska and Hawaii numerous times and has been a liveaboard for its entire life. There have been no major repairs or renovations, due mainly to diligent upkeep by all owners. The strength of Mariner's style is a seaworthiness - it is truly a beautiful liveaboard with lots of storage for long voyages.
